Summary Explanation/Background:
RFP E-18-16 was issued to select a single firm to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services to the City for the SW 36th Ave Sidewalk. The CEI services are required for contract inspection, administration, and materials sampling and testing for sidewalk and drainage construction, utility work, signage, and striping for the sidewalk project. This project will run along SW 36th Ave from 640’ North of West McNab Road to West Palm Aire Drive.
City Commission has approved the ranking order presented by the Selection/Evaluation on May 24th, 2016 (Agenda Item: 3) and the City has negotiated an agreed price with the highest-ranked firm, Calvin Giordano & Associates, Inc.
In order to begin construction, FDOT has made it a requirement to procure CEI (Construction Engineering & Inspection) services for the SW 36th Ave Sidewalks Improvement Project. FDOT will be providing partial funding for CEI services for the amount of $50,980.00.
