The ordinance is amending various sections of Chapter 98 Parks and Playgrounds, with changes taking place in the following Sections:

                     98.01 Definitions
                     98.02 Prohibited Acts
                     98.07 Public Events
                     98.10 Recreational Facility and Program Fees
                     98.13 Municipal beaches and parks; hours and permits
                     98.15 Discounts and benefits
                     98.46 Hours and days of operation
                     98.47 Recreation Center Fees
                     98.49 Application and Investigation
                     98.80 City-Owned Showmobile
                     98.81 City-Owned Portable Stage

In making the changes the Parks and Recreation Department is looking to clarify the language in the various sections of the ordinance to allow the Parks and Recreation Department to provide a more efficient service to the residents and public who use the Parks and Recreation Department facilities. The City Manager or designee shall be empowered to establish all Parks and Recreation fees, which will be available in hard copy at each facility and allow the adjustment of fees as needed and assign fees to new programs as they are implemented.
