Summary Explanation/Background:
The following subrecipients were approved as part of the CDBG Annual Action Plan by the City Commission on July 8, 2025, for the FY 2025-2026 funding year. This project will help with services to various public service activities for the residents of Pompano Beach. The funding will assist with provisions of, among other things, emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and homeless youth, transitional support for those seeking to re-enter the workforce, free healthcare services, and education programs (tutoring/mentoring) for Pompano Beach youth. The Resolution will approve the required Subrecipient Agreement for the Utilization of CDBG funds in FY 2025-2026 for the following organizations:
•Broward Partnership for the Homeless, Inc. -$15,000.00
•Choices Network Systems, Inc - $5,000.00
•Covenant House Florida, Inc. -$15,000.00
•Crockett Foundation, Inc. -$15,000.00
•Dr. Stanley and Pearl Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward County, Inc.- $10,000
•Feeding South Florida, Inc. - $10,000.00
•Kids in Distress, Inc. - $10,000.00
•Light of the World Clinic, Inc. - $15,000.00
•The Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation, Inc. -$15,000.00
•Second Chance Society, Inc. -$8,000.00
•Women in Distress of Broward County, Inc. -$15,000.00
•Firewall Centers, Inc. - $10,000.00
