Summary Explanation/Background:
The City issued RFP E-07-21 in November 2020 to accept competitive bids from qualified parking management companies. Submissions were accepted until December 14, 2020 and the City received four proposals. The Selection/Evaluation Committee met on January 5, 2021 in a public meeting to review and evaluate all four responses. The Committee determined that all four firms would be asked to make presentations to the Committee on January 20, 2021. After presentations were completed, the Committee ranked the firms and One Parking Inc. was selected as the highest-ranking firm.
On February 23, 2021 City Commission approved the ranking order and authorized staff to negotiate a contract with Parking Management Agreement with One Parking Inc. This agenda item is requesting approval a five (5) year contract with One Parking to provide for management of the Pier Parking Garage, parking enforcement, meter collections and valet operations.
One Parking is a nationally recognized certified women owned business with headquarters located in West Palm Beach and has over 16 years of experience managing complex parking facilities and valet operations.
One Parking currently manages over 50,000 parking spaces and over 100 contracts throughout the country.
