Summary Explanation/Background:
In relation to Bid E-11-21 Water System Interconnect Upgrades, the authorization would enable the City to further utilize the professional services of the design engineer for the subject project.
The scope of work during construction would also entail system start-up, testing, project closeout and required construction phase Administrative Assistance Compliance with the associated SRF (State Revolving Fund) loan agreement. McCafferty Brinson has previously designed and overseen construction of the City’s upgraded Interconnect with the City of Margate. Based upon the aforementioned and the City’s prior work affiliation with the consultant, the Utilities Department recommends approval of the construction services contract to McCafferty Brinson Consulting, LLC.
