Summary Explanation/Background:
The following represents a Miscellaneous Appropriations Agreement with Impact Broward, Inc. that will be in effect for fiscal year 2017. The Agreement will provide financial and programmatic accountability for expenditure of City funds. The Agreement is for a period of one (1) year with an associated funding level of $1,000, which was approved on September 19, 2016 with the adoption of the FY 2017 budget.
Impact Broward, Inc. has a mission to impact and enrich our community by engaging individuals through service to meet critical needs of children, adults and nonprofits in Broward County. The organization tutors and mentors children and provides support and companionship to frail elderly and adults with disabilities. The organization also places volunteers with other nonprofit organizations within the community to enhance service capacity. Approximately 40 Pompano Beach residents will be served.
