Summary Explanation/Background:
Property owner Charles W. Bostwick Trust has indicated a desire to sell the property located at 99 N Ocean Blvd., Pompano Beach, FL 33062, further identified as Broward County Property Appraiser (BCPA) folio 484331000527 ("Bostwick property") to the City of Pompano Beach for $7,500.00. The Bostwick property is a 200 square foot vacant parcel located directly south of the City's Oceanside lot at 109 N Ocean Boulevard. The BCPA information and aerial of the property is included as Exhibit 1. The City's Oceanside lot in outlined in yellow. The Bostwick property is outlined in red.

The Bostwick property is a landlocked inholding in the middle of the southern property boundary of the City's Oceanside lot. Purchase of the Bostwick property will allow redevelopment of the Oceanside lot as planned with the Request for Proposals E-16-19 Master Development of City-Owned Property for the construction of a new public parking garage and private development of a hotel, grocery store and other retail.

Staff is requesting City Commission approval to enter into a sale and purchase contract with Charles W. Bostwick Trust for this property.
