summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The City has a ten (10) year lease agreement with Broward County (Ord. No. 2013-58 attached) for the city-owned property located at 2011 NW 3rd Avenue for the purpose of operating a county government multipurpose social and primary health services delivery center (a.k.a. Annie L. Weaver Health Center and Family Success Center).  Article 7 of this lease agreement requires Broward County to obtain the City’s consent when transferring all or any portion of this lease via:  "(a) an assignment of this lease; (b) a sublease, license agreement or other agreement permitting all or any portion of the Demised Premises to be used by others."

Broward County is requesting the City's consent to four (4) Revocable License Agreements (attached) between the County and the following non-profit organizations: 1) Adopt a Hurricane Family, Inc. d/b/a Crisis Housing Solutions; 2) Harmony Development Center Inc.; 3) Henderson Behavioral Health, Inc.; and Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc. to deliver mortgage foreclosure prevention, juvenile delinquency diversion, behavioral health, and legal services at this center.
