Summary Explanation/Background:

Invitation to Bid (ITB) E-37-22 was issued to obtain bids to establish a contract for the replacement of the dock and a section of concrete seawall at the Alsdorf Park public boat ramp facility located at 2901 NE 14th St., Pompano Beach, FL 33062.  The City applied for and was subsequently awarded the following two grants as supplement funding to replace the seawall: Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) up to $475,000.00 and Broward County Boating Improvement (BBIP) up to $375,000.00.  These two grants that are reimbursement grants will be used for this construction project that will replace approximately 370' of the dilapidated seawall and dock, which extends from the easterly boat ramp to the Intracoastal Waterway. The bid award is recommended to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, B & M Marine Construction, Inc., at a cost of $1,781,595.50.  The General Services Department notified four (4) local Pompano Beach marine construction companies of this ITB.  City Commission approval of this contract award is requested.
