Summary Explanation/Background:
This request is for a proposed plat and is restricted to a maximum building of 225,000 square feet for Warehouse/ Storage. The site area is approximately 7.244 gross acres. It is generally located on the north side of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. between Blount Road and NW 27 Avenue. The owner of the property, Top Self Storage Three, LLC., desires to plat the property in order to develop a 181,018 sq. ft. self-storage facility. This vacant property is currently zoned B-4 (Heavy Business) and has a Commercial Land Use designation. A Site Plan for this development was approved at the November 15, 2017 Planning & Zoning Board (PZB) hearing (see attached D.O. No. 17-12000028). It was unanimously recommended for approval (see attached Minutes) at the August, 23, 2017 P&Z meeting, with 2 conditions to be met prior to Commission placement (see attached P&Z Memo 17-042). All conditions have been met (see attached signed plat and recorded Unity of Title).
