Summary Explanation/Background:
The current five-year agreement was adopted via Resolution 2017-246, with no renewal clause has an expiration date of May 25, 2022. The three parties have reviewed the agreement and will be entering into the new five-year agreement as Exchange Club Park (2800 NE 24 Street) borders the City of Lighthouse Point and Pompano Beach, and each City considers Exchange Club Park to be a facility of their respective municipalities. In entering into this agreement, the law enforcement agencies of both cities will receive and extend mutual aid to each other in the form of law enforcement services and resources to adequately respond to continuing, multi-jurisdictional law enforcement issues that may occur at Exchange Club Park.
