Summary Explanation/Background:
The City of Pompano Beach is submitting a grant application for the NE 10th Street Complete Streets Improvement Project, along NE 10th Street between NE 5th Ave and N. Federal Highway to be evaluated and ranked by the MPO. If this project is chosen to be a top-ranked project, it will receive grant money to be implemented as a long range project (approximately fiscal year 2028/29). There is the potential of receiving $3 million of Federal funding. The intent is to beautify this corridor (a major City Roadway) which is a destination to a Community Park, the Amphitheater, Youth Soccer Park, and Centennial Park. The project will also provide safety enhancements helping to reduce speeding of vehicular traffic along that corridor.
