Summary Explanation/Background:
The East CRA Plan (“Plan”), originally adopted November 13, 2001, was outdated and required substantial amendments to comply with Chapter 163, Part III of the Florida Statutes currently in effect.
The amended Plan retains all of the statutory powers, eliminates provisions that are not statutory authorized, outlines the key focus of the East CRA moving forward, extends the life span for additional 30-years, provides updated photos, data references and maintains CRA compliance with the original East CRA Plan.
At the meeting of May 21, 2024, the CRA Board approved and supported the Amended Plan by CRA Resolution No. 2024-30 and recommended approval of the Amended Plan to the City Commission as the governing body of the Pompano Beach CRA. Before the City Commission for Approval is the Amended Plan.
