Summary Explanation/Background:
RFP E-06-20 “Pompano Beach Community Shuttle Services” was issued to obtain proposals to provide Shuttle Services to the City of Pompano Beach. The City oversees four (4) bus routes under the Broward County Transit’s Community Shuttle Program. The General Services Department notified four (4) local companies to inform them about this project. This solicitation was assigned a 10% Local Business participation goal. The recommended firm, which has not committed to meeting that goal, has provided a list of thirty-five (35) employees who are Pompano Beach residents. Commission approval of the ranking order presented by the Selection/Evaluation Committee is requested, and authorization is requested for appropriate City staff to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked firm, Limousines of South Florida, Inc. Further authorization is requested to continue with the succeeding ranked firms should an impasse occur in the negotiations with the recommended firm.
