summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The City adopted the East Transit Oriented Corridor (ETOC) land use category on February 27, 2018 and developed a basket of rights to be distributed within the ETOC area. The County adopted the same amendment to the County Land Use Plan in 2017.  The County requires that the City enter into an Interlocal Agreement to monitor the distribution of development rights within the District and report the progress of development to the County as established in the Interlocal Agreement.  The City has a similar Interlocal Agreement for the Downtown Pompano Transit Oriented Corridor (DPTOC) and staff is familiar with the monitoring and reporting procedures to implement the Interlocal Agreement.
