Summary Explanation/Background:
The Five-Year Service Contract with American Legal Publishing Corp. (American Legal) for the reprinting and supplementing of the City’s Code of Ordinances expires on June 26, 2023. During the term of the Contract, American Legal was in full compliance and maintained the City’s Charter and Code of Ordinances in a professional manner. Therefore, a Contract Renewal was prepared for the Commission’s consideration. The proposed contract will continue to provide all current features and services as outlined in Exhibit A of the Original Service Contract and the updates of the City’s ordinances will remain at six-times per year.
Additionally, the Original Service Contract provided for a term of five years with a provision for an additional five-year term renewal. Therefore, Staff is recommending to renew the Original Service Contract for an additional five-year term.
