summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

In 2010, the City approved support of Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) vision for enhancements to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (see attached “2010 Resolution of Support”).  The proposed improvements will be along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between NW 10th Ave and NW 12th Ave, and will include pedestrian lighting, milling, resurfacing and widening to accommodate bike lanes.  These improvements are being funded by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and designed by FDOT’s consultant engineer.  Following completion of project, it will be turned over to the City to maintain.  Consequently, the attached “FDOT Maintenance Agreement” is required to be entered into between FDOT and City acknowledging our maintenance responsibility following project completion.
