Summary Explanation/Background:
The enclosed ordinance is a proposed text amendment to Section 155.8402. CIVIL REMEDIES. The text amendment was requested by the City Attorney’s office in order to allow the ability to revoke a Zoning Use Certificate or Business Tax Receipt if an applicant provides misleading information on an application. The ordinance additionally includes minor changes to clarify other grounds for Zoning Use Certificate or BTR revocation, such as the presence of public nuisances.
Note: Following first reading, the text of the ordinance was revised to display the existing code in Section B.(2)(i) in order to better demonstrate the context and intent of the ordinance revision. No changes were made to the proposed text amendments since first reading.
