Summary Explanation/Background:
This is a corrective legal request for the Marquis Plat. The subject property is located at 1820 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. The Plat had originally been approved on July 23, 2019 (see Resolution 2019-245). The legal description that was provided by the Applicant for the Plat erroneously included a twenty (20) foot sliver of land that was not part of the Plat. On October 27, 2020, a correction to the legal description was approved (see Resolution 2021-11), however the Broward County Planning Division rejected that legal description stating it was not consistent with the Marquis Plat dedications. Accordingly, the Applicant found it necessary to submit this revised request to provide a legal description for the Marquis Plat that is acceptable to Broward County. This revised legal description is included as Exhibit A of the Resolution. Staff recommends that this Resolution be approved.
