summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

RFP E-07-18 was issued to select one firm each to provide, to the City of Pompano Beach, management services for six (6) youth athletic programs.  The programs include Competitive Soccer, 3-on-3 Soccer, Baseball, Swimming, Track, and Water Polo. City Commission approval of the ranking order presented by the Selection/Evaluation Committee is requested, and authorization is requested for appropriate City staff to negotiate contracts with the highest-ranked Competitive Soccer firm: Floridians Football Club Inc.  Further authorization is requested to negotiate contracts with the sole proposers for their respective sport: PBFC PAL Hammerheads, Inc. (3-on-3 Soccer), Pompano Baseball, Inc. (Baseball), Pompano Piranhas, Inc. (Swimming), Xpress Youth Development Institute, Inc. (Track), and South Florida Water Polo Foundation, Inc. (Water Polo).  The General Services Department performed outreach to local athletic program management firms to inform them about this project.  A total of four (4) local companies were notified.  Two of the six recommended firms are Local Pompano Beach Businesses.
