summary
Summary Explanation/Background:
At the April 27, City Commission meeting, the lowest bidder, The Butler Group of South Florida, LLC, was approved to receive the awarded contract from RFP #P-15-21. The term of the initial agreement is five (5) years. Fiscal impact is based off the annual minimum wage increase, which was approved by Florida voters via Amendment 2. Amendment 2 amends Florida’s constitution to gradually increase the state’s minimum wage to $15.00 per hour by year 2026. The approved awarded bidder’s response was the following calculation: Minimum Wage + $3.40/hour. This was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
Below chart depicts the annual fiscal impacts based off the annual increases.
