Summary Explanation/Background:
The City of Pompano Beach has received a Historic Preservation Small Matching Grant No. S1722, which will provide $50,000 towards Phase 1 of the Blanche Ely House Restoration. As required by the Grant, the City of Pompano Beach must enter into an Agreement (“Agreement”) to receive the funding. At the City Commission meeting held on September 13, 2016, Resolution #2016-283 was passed permitting the City to enter into an Agreement with the State of Florida Division of Historical Resources (Grant No. S1722). The three pages listed below were requested by the State after the original Agreement was signed/approved and must now be included before the final Agreement can be returned to the State for their signatures:

This resolution will rescind Resolution 2016-283 and approve the new Grant Agreement and Preservation Agreement.

Fiscal impact and source of funding: The Small Matching Historic Preservation Grant is in the amount of $50,000 for which the City will provide a $50,000 match provided from the FY2017 CIP.
