summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The City of Pompano Beach wishes to continue our Parking License Agreement for the property located adjacent to Southeast 2nd Street on Briny Avenue in Pompano Beach, Broward County Appraiser Folio 4943 06 06 0380. The original agreement was approved by resolution 2024- 124 and was passed and adopted on the 14th day of May 2024. The property is owned by Hansa and Girish Patel. The City intends to charge a parking fee to the public for the parking spaces contained within this lot with the following considerations. The City will enforce parking within the entire lot consisting of approximately 43 parking spaces while allowing up to ten spaces to be reserved for Hilton employees. For this consideration the City agrees to pay Hansa and Girish a 50/50 revenue split of all net revenues generated monthly. There will be no permanent improvements to this lot and payment from the parking public will be accomplished via our current parking app providers Passport Parking and Pay By Phone with an appropriate number of clearly visible signs at the entrance to the parking lot.
