The Fleet Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department requests approval to piggyback the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) Cooperative Contract No. 19101 for the purchase of tires, tubes and services from Tiresoles of Broward, Inc. The State of Iowa, on behalf of the NASPO cooperative, served as the lead agency for the issuance of Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 1118005083. The State of Iowa awarded the NASPO cooperative contract to the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear), which is valid through August 31, 2024. The City of Pompano Beach purchased tires, tubes and services from Tiresoles of Broward, Inc., an authorized Goodyear dealer under the previous contract that expired. Due to the previous cooperative contract expiring in which the City of Pompano Beach was using and enjoying from Tiresoles of Broward, Inc., located in Deerfield Beach, the City Commission approval to piggyback the NASPO Cooperative Contract No. 19101 is requested.
