Summary Explanation/Background:
The ordinance is amending Chapter 98, “Parks and Recreation and Cultural Affairs,” of the Pompano Beach Code of Ordinances by amending Section 98.35 “Fees” and Section 98.37 “School and College Team Rates” to provide authorization to establish fees for the use of the city’s Golf Course. Section 98.39 “Group Rates” is being amended to modify the name of the section.
The City Manager or designee shall be empowered to establish all fees to be charged for the use of the city’s Golf Course. A list of established Golf Course fees will be kept in writing and posted at the Golf Course and on the City’s website. The amendment to the ordinance fee sections will allow the city’s Golf Course fees to be competitive with other courses in the area.
