Summary Explanation/Background:

The proposed Ordinance will allow the Police and Fire Pension Board staff to participate in the City’s General Employees Retirement Plan; this will include the Executive Director and the Deputy Director. Both positions are under the direct supervision of the Retirement System Board of Directors. The Employer contribution to the System for the Executive Director and Deputy Director serving the Police and Firefighter’s System shall be paid by that System as defined in Section 34.045.
