Summary Explanation/Background:

Construction of Runway 10-28 Rehabilitation includes the mill and overlay of the pavement as well as upgrading all of the Medium Intensity Runway Lights (MIRL’s), Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL’s), Mandatory/Informational Signage and electrical circuitry. This project is part of The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Airport Master Plan and Airport Layout Plan (ALP). This project is necessary in order to ensure compliance with FAA design and safety standards. Total project cost = $5,447,263.00 FDOT grant = $136,182.00 (2.5% of total project cost) City match = $136,182.00 (2.5% of total project cost). The FAA grant is forthcoming covering the remaining portion.

Fiscal impact and source of funding: $136,182.00 from Airpark Fund working capital reserve.
