summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

Invitation to Bid (ITB) ITB25-030 was issued to obtain bids to perform major rehabilitation of runway10-28. The 2021 FDOT pavement management program (PMP) report listed the runway’s pavement condition index (PCI) at 64, in ‘Fair’ condition. FAA policy is to perform major rehabilitation of asphalt general aviation runways once they are below a PCI of 65.  Bid award is recommended to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, General Asphalt Co., Inc., at a cost of $5,259,091.50.  The City has applied for a grant, which would fund 97.5% of this project. City Commission approval of this contract award is requested. The sample Construction Agreement advertised in the solicitation will be completed with the details of lowest responsive responsible bidder with no material deviations.
