summary
Summary Explanation/Background:
In November 2020 the City entered into an agreement with Wells Fargo Bank N.A for the use of this parking lot located at 199 North Ocean Boulevard in Pompano Beach by ordinance 2021-13.

This property is listed as Broward County Tax Parcel Number 484331000525.
On December 6, 2024 Wells Fargo agreed to a Sale, Assignment and Assumption of their Leasehold interest in this property to Lease Florida Pompano LLC. This process first began in December 2022 and now that this process is complete the new owner (Lease Florida Pompano LLC.) wishes to continue with all terms as stipulated in the City's original agreement with Wells Fargo N.A. for the continued use as public parking.

This lot contains 76 parking spaces that are continually used by the public who visit the Pompano Pier and retail businesses within the Fishing Village.
Staff feels this additional parking capacity is essential for the continued support of area businesses as well as Pompano Beach residents and visitors.

Origin of request for this action: Parking Operations
Fiscal impact and source of funding: This ordinance will extend an existing agreement for continued use as public parking to support local businesses, workers and guests to the beach area.
