summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

Staff is seeking City Commission approval of a Resolution to execute an agreement with the Florida Power and Light (FPL). This agreement will allow FPL to move forward with efforts to install 794 new LED lights and remove 205 old sodium halide fixtures in the Cresthaven neighborhood. The agreement stipulates the installation of Memphis decorative lights throughout the community. These lights will add flair and serve as an energy efficient product saving taxpayers in energy costs. Under this agreement, FPL will install new wiring, poles and fixtures. To reduce costs, our Public Works Department will assist with any localized repairs.
