Summary Explanation/Background:

Request for Letters of Interest (RLI) L-54-16 was issued to obtain responses from professional firms to provide continuing services to the City for professional engineering and consulting services for Municipal Air Park projects with a construction cost not exceeding $2 million, and for any study activity for which fees will not exceed $200,000.00  At the September 13, 2016 City Commission meeting, staff was directed to prepare an agenda item to authorize contract negotiations with the second highest ranked firm, HDR Engineering, Inc., in addition to the highest ranked firm, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. This solicitation was assigned a voluntary 15% Local Business participation goal and a 15% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation goal; the second highest ranked proposer HDR Engineering, Inc. has indicated 29% Local Business participation; and 15% SBE participation.
