summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

With an increasing demand for parking, the associated technology to support and enhance parking enforcement has made great strides to assist cities nationwide. Efficient parking enforcement is essential in maintaining sufficient, safe parking capacity of all of our residents, visitors, employees and businesses alike.

As Pompano Beach parking infrastructure continues to grow we seek technology to efficiently and effectively support our parking enforcement platform. This amendment will allow the City to further investigate and implement technology related to parking enforcement where it may be most effective.

No electronic parking technology device or software shall be utilized for the purposes of parking enforcement unless the device or type of technology have been approved by City Commission for use.
