Summary Explanation/Background:
Approving a Waiver of Conflict for Penny Cutt, a member of the City’s Marine Advisory Board, whose employer, Cummins Cederberg, Inc., is a marine engineering company that may be doing business with the City. See Item 11 on this Agenda. Mrs. Cutt is an integral member of the Marine Advisory Board (as well as the Zoning Board of Appeals) and, pursuant to Section 112.313(12), Florida Statutes, the City Commission may waive any potential conflict rather than have Ms. Cutt, resign as a MAB Member due to her employment. As indicated, she will not vote on any matter as an member of the Marine Advisory Board that will involve her employer should such situation arise.
