Summary Explanation/Background:
This is a City-initiated request to abandon a remnant and unimproved right-of-way. The segment of NE 13th Avenue right-of-way to be abandoned is located adjacent to the Pompano Beach Community Park ball fields, at the eastern terminus of NE 9th Street and NE 8th Court, east of NE 12th Avenue. The segments of right-of-way to the north and south of the subject property have already been abandoned. At the February 22 Planning & Zoning Board Meeting, the Board unanimously recommended approval of the request with one condition that has been met.
