Summary Explanation/Background:
Windcave Inc. is a real time payment processing provider which will allow for additional payment options for those who park in the Pier Garage. These options include Apple Pay, Tap to Pay and Google Pay.
We feel that by adding these additional payment options, a better parking experience will be provided by a more efficient and a quicker process and exit experience. Signage will be placed strategically throughout the garage and inside of the elevators promoting these additional payment options. The intent is to provide as many convenient payment options for the diverse parkers using the pier garage and to encourage payment prior to reaching the exit. This should reduce backing up traffic at the exit making a more pleasurable, expedient experience.
There is no upfront cost for this service and as is the case with other credit processing providers they charge a processing fee for each transaction. After researching this option, we found that a significant savings to the City will be had by utilizing this service at the Pier Garage.
