Summary Explanation/Background:
On September 22, 2020, the City and CRA entered into an Interlocal Agreement to allow the City to utilize CRA property located on SW 20th Avenue west of Federal Highway as a transit hub. Finding that the transit hub project is not yet ready to be operational, this amendment allows the City to provide for temporary use of the CRA property to permit parking by Verdex employees, subcontractors and other business invitees during construction of a new housing project located at 2335 East Atlantic Boulevard and 121 NE 24th Avenue in Pompano (the Pompano Station Project) and provide monthly parking passes to the general public. Verdex and the general public will pay to the City $50.00 per each monthly parking permit issued for parking on the CRA Lots. This amendment further provides for the City to pay the CRA the amount of $15,000 payable in advance in consideration of the use of the CRA Lots.
