Summary Explanation/Background:
Approval of second substantial amendment to the FY 2019 CDBG Annual Action Plan. The City of Pompano Beach will receive an additional $842,961 in Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV-3) funding. The City is required to prepare an amendment to its CDBG Annual Action Plan in order to incorporate provisions governing the use of these funds. Staff is recommending that these CDBG-CV-3 funds be used to increase public service and administration activities. Specifically, the funds will be used to address the following public service activities: Emergency Rental Assistance, Emergency Water Utility Assistance, and a Publix Gift Card Program.
