Summary Explanation/Background:
Staff is seeking City Commission approval of a Resolution to execute a Notice of Site Dedication and Limitation of Use and to authorize recording said notice with the Broward County County Clerk's Office including applicable accompanying Exhibits "A-C" (see attached North Broward Park Deed, Grant Agreement, and site survey, respectively). Execution of this notice is a requirement of an agreement entered into with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection ("FDEP") whereas the agency through the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program ("FRDAP") awarded the City of Pompano Beach the sum of $200,000.00 to defray costs of improvements at North Pompano Park (see Location Map). The funds were partially used to pay for construction and renovation of an artificial turf field. Furthermore, grant funds were used to pay for additional restroom and concession building renovations as well as installation of landscaping material (shrubs, trees, mulch, irrigation). Staff has prepared a Project Completion Certification and As-Built plans (see attached) to certify that the project is substantially complete in accordance with the approved plans. This Resolution will pave the way to request final reimbursement. Staff recommends approval.
