summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The City initiated this project with an Invitation to Bid (ITB) in January 2024, but received no responses. The project's specialized requirements, combined with its relatively modest scope and budget, resulted in limited interest from potential contractors. Ultimately, the user department secured a single informal quote.

The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) team, in collaboration with the design engineer of record and Steve Rocco, Airpark Manager, has conducted a comprehensive review of the final negotiated price. We have collectively determined that this informal quote represents a fair and reasonable price for the proposed scope of work.

Origin of request for this action: Engineering Dept.

Fiscal impact and source of funding: $600,000 grant funded/$173,934 CIP #21-405 / 465-7684-542.65-12
