summary
Summary Explanation/Background:
Request to abandon two ten-foot easements located at 925 Hillsboro Mile, Hillsboro Beach, FL. The adjacent property owner wishes to develop the subject property and has been required by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to provide a land dedication on each side of A1A to facilitate construction. The easement abandonment is required to process the FDOT dedication of the subject land in effort of site development.
The easements were recorded September 30, 1936 for the accommodation of future City of Pompano Beach utility assets. The City has no infrastructure in the subject areas as utility services for Hillsboro Mile have been provided by the Town of Hillsboro Beach. Therefore, the City has no need of the easements as future utility expansion will not occur given that the Town of Hillsboro Beach provides its own utility services.
Origin of request for this action: Utilities
Fiscal impact and source of funding: N/A
