summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

This Resolution is to enter into an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with Broward County for Kendall Lake neighborhood stormwater improvements which was previously identified in the City’s Stormwater Master Plan as requiring stormwater improvements.  The proposed area of improvement is south of Copans Rd., east of I-95, west of Dixies Highway, and north of NW 15th St.  The design has been completed by our consultant, Baxter and Woodman, and it has been approved for Penny for Transportation (Surtax) funding by the Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. Please find attached ILA between City and Broward County.  The ILA is necessary to receive Surtax funding in the amount of $3,296,795 to pay for the proposed construction services.  Following ILA execution, City will post the solicitation and we will subsequently go before Commission with bid award recommendation/construction contract.
