Summary Explanation/Background:
This is a housekeeping item to insert clauses into this agreement that are required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The changes are necessary so we can be reimbursed approximately $137,000 we paid towards this contract for Hurricane Irma. The agreement had expired and was timely replaced with a new agreement for disaster recovery management services. However, since FEMA is now requiring the inclusion of specific language in that agreement in order to approve reimbursement of the City it is necessary to reinstate that expired agreement solely for the purpose of amending it for reimbursement. No additional duties of the parties are required under the agreement and it shall terminate again, upon reimbursement to the City.
