summary
Summary Explanation/Background:
The Utilities Department requests City Commission approval to execute Amendment 3 to SRF Loan No. SW062460, extending the construction completion date from February 15, 2026, to April 15, 2028, for stormwater improvement projects identified in the City's 2013 Stormwater Master Plan. Amendment 3 was finalized and accepted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection on February 26, 2026.
The loan, totaling $8,184,250, funds improvements in Study Areas 9, 22, and 8. Study Area 9 is complete; Study Area 22 is approximately 90% complete with delays related to County coordination and utility relocations; and Study Area 8 remains in progress following necessary redesign efforts. The extension will allow sufficient time to complete construction activities, with no change to the loan amount or 20-year term. Approval supports the City's strategic and comprehensive plan goals for resilient and sustainable stormwater infrastructure
