Summary Explanation/Background:
The Northwest CRA Plan (“NWCRA Plan” was lasted updated September 14, 2021. Generally, Community Redevelopment Agency (“CRA”) Plans are updated every five (5) years to remain relevant and compliant with the State Statutes. This amendment to the NWCRA Plan makes minor edits including defining the Downtown Master Plan project, updates the Marketing and Special Events as per State Statute and extends the life of the Northwest CRA District until December 31, 2049 as approved by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
At the meeting of May 21, 2024, the CRA Board approved and supported the Amended NWCRA Plan by CRA Resolution No. 2024-31 and recommended approval of the Amended NWCRA Plan to the City Commission as the governing body of the Pompano Beach CRA. Before the City Commission for Approval is the Amended NWCRA Plan.
