Summary Explanation/Background:

This project involves the planning, design and construction of a new access/entry road on NE 10th Street to accommodate the additional airpark development recently completed on Parcels AAAA (American Flyers) and X (Daher).  This entry/access road will help alleviate vehicular traffic congestion at two (2) existing entrances for all tenants, business operators and users of the Airpark.  Staff was able to secure supplemental funding towards this project and is seeking City Commission approval to accept these grant funds from FDOT for this project.

 

Origin of request for this action: Air Park

Fiscal impact and source of funding: $230,000 from account 465-7675-542.65-12.  Florida Department of Transportation grant will reimburse the City up to $184,000 (80%) of the costs.  The City’s required match is $46,000 (20%).
