Summary Explanation/Background:
The Request for Proposals E-12-21 was issued to select a firm to provide construction services to the City for The Lyons Park Stormwater and Wastewater Improvement Project, the opening was on March 15, 2021.
The Lyons Park area suffers from flooding problems as documented in the City Stormwater Master Plan. This project will improve the drainage systems within the Lyons park neighborhood. The sanitary sewer lines within the Lyons Park Neighborhood are in the rear yard easements of the properties and this project will relocate the sewers to the street within the City right-of-way.
At the April 27, 2021 Commission meeting Consent Agenda Item #21-479 passed, approving the ranking order for RFP E-12-21, Lyons Park Stormwater and Wastewater Improvements, and authorize staff to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked firm, Giannetti Contracting Corp.
Origin of request for this action: Engineering
Fiscal impact and source of funding: $17,659,117.70 broken down as follows. $9,456,715.95 from the Water and Wastewater Revenue Bonds and $8,202,401.75 from the Stormwater Utility Revenue Bonds.
