Summary Explanation/Background:
The Mixed Income Housing regulations in Chapter 155.4202 are being amended to incorporate the State mandated Live Local Act which preempts the City's land use and zoning regulations for Residential projects with a minimum of 40% affordable units in Commercial, Industrial and Mixed Use Districts. Staff has incorporated these regulations within the City's existing mixed income housing code which currently implements Broward County mixed income housing policies 2.16.3 and 2.16.4 and the administration of flex units. The Planning and Zoning Board unanimously recommended approval on June 26, 2024 and Staff recommends approval.
