summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

This request is for Pompano Beach Fire Rescue to participate in the annual PEMT Local Intergovernmental Transfers (IGT) program. The Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), which governs the release of State Medicaid beneficiary monies, must receive the signed LOA by the date of October 1st, 2026. AHCA is currently experiencing delays in finalizing the payment model, and as a temporary measure, has issued a LOA with a placeholder amount of $1 to be amended later upon final dollar figures. This amended LOA to be issued by AHCA will be brought back for the City Commission’s review again.

Origin of request for this action: Fire

Fiscal impact and source of funding: Placeholder amount of $1 in revenue - to be amended at a later date upon further correspondence from AHCA.
