Summary:
The applicant is requesting approval of a revision to the previously approved Master Sign Program for the existing Shoppers Haven shopping center. The prior approval was granted on August 1, 2023, for future tenant building signage and the existing free-standing signs. This amendment to the Master Sign Program provides further clarification on the placement of tenant wall signs and the status of the existing nonconforming free-standing signs. During the exterior renovation of the shopping center, various deviations in the treatment of the building fa?ades occurred, creating uncertainty about the allowable sign placement on those fa?ades. This amendment addresses the placement and location of tenant signs on those facades that deviate from the original Master Sign Program. Also, the original Master Sign Program and the Sign Code require that existing nonconforming free-standing signs be removed or brought into compliance with the Sign Code.
However, the subject property was annexed to the City by the State of Florida via House Bill 1779 in 2000.
