summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

Section 166.241, Florida Statutes, permits municipalities to amend their budgets within 60 days following the end of the fiscal year. The proposed resolution amends the FY 2026 budget to increase revenue and expenditure appropriations for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fund. Actual expenditures exceeded the amounts originally budgeted for FY 2026; however, additional revenues were also received during the fiscal year. The proposed budget amendment recognizes these additional revenues and increases expenditure appropriations to align the FY 2026 budget with actual revenues and expenditures.
